This week on #WomentoWatch meet human trafficking survivor and former White House advisor Everyln Chumbow. Chumbow was trafficked from Cameroon at 10 years, after false promises of education aboard. She escaped at 17 years old. In 2016 former U.S. President Barack Obama appointed her to the first ever U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking. Also meet South Africa’s Mickey Meji from advocacy group, Embrace Dignity. A, Meji is working to abolish prostitution and the term “sex work.”
